It has two reciprocal borders on a red ground with minor ivory borders surrounding the major border which has a floral motif. The rug is in mint condition. It has full pile. This Palace sized 1st half 20th century Mahal Persian Oriental rug measures 10’9” X 17’4” (332 x 530 cm). It has a beautifully drawn overall floral motif completely covering the blue ground. The flowers are in ivory, pale green, medium green, peach, red and three shades of blue. The design of this rug is what used to be known as ‘Crowded Kerman’ for obvious reasons. All is enclosed with a very wide major border of cartouches in light blue and dark blue on a medium green ground. Each cartouche is separated by a boteh. The inner border consists of red flowers on a peach ground. The outer minor border consists of meandering flowering vine on an ivory ground. This stunning beautiful rug is in mint condition. This 1st quarter 20th century Mahal antique persian Oriental Carpet measures 5’0” X 10’2” (152 x 310 cm). The field motif is a very complicated Herati design on a blue ground. The complication comes in with the 15 rows of diamonds on top of the Herati design in very pale green, all encompassed with a major border of turtle motif in ivory and camel on a terra cotta ground. The major border is enclosed by a reciprocal ivory border of flower heads. The rug has slight wear, nothing to be nervous about. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. This circa 1850 antique Mahal Persian Oriental Carpet measures 10’7” X 13’6”. It has a fantastic deep terra cotta ground with a pale blue diamond medallion. It has small corner brackets in pale blue, ivory and rust. The border has a meandering flower and vine design which is very archaic looking on a blue ground with ivory and rust.
