Description
This circa 1930 Art Deco Chinese Rug measures 9’0” X 11’7” (274 x 357 cm). It has a pink background with an overall wavy floral motif in two shades of a lighter tone of pink in the shape of a tree coming out of each end of the rug from two urns which are filled with fanciful flowers. At first glance these urns look like birthday cakes topped with candles. The field is enclosed with a very free flowing curvilinear border in ivory with vines and flowers going around the columns and sides in pink, rose, two shades of green, two shades of purple, two shades of red, two shades of blue and tobacco. Outside of this border the same pink as the field continues serving as the outer border. This rug is in never been walked upon , full pile condition. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $150.00.
