Description
This circa 1930 Art Deco Chinese rug measures 8’10” x 11’8”. It has a green background with an overall design of scrolling ferns all encompassed by a single wide border in a lighter green with cartouches in ivory and green containing floral motifs in red, pale green, brown and tobacco. There are also happy little pink flowers with blue centers. The two horizontal borders have what appears to be a French motif of oblong cartouches with bouquets of flowers. The rug is slightly low in two places which have a small number of white knots hence the inexpensive price. Otherwise the rug is full pile. It has complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $150.00.
