Description
This circa 1925 Art Deco Chinese handmade wool Oriental Rug measures 9’0” X 11’8”. It has a beautiful dark pink field consisting of a floral water motif. I say this because there is a boat being reeled in by a little man the lower left corner. There is a large blue butterfly in the center of the field. Above the boat there is a house on stilts below a rock formation. There is a single wide olive green border with a floral motif exploding into the field in purples, greens and ivory etc. There is sprouted purple bamboo above which is a three legged table holding a magnificent bouquet of flowers. The rug has an unbelievable complex and beautiful design which must be seen to be appreciated! The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go.
