Description
This circa 1925 Art Deco Chinese handmade wool Oriental Rug measures 7’0” X 9’10”. It has a pink field with one wide grey border. At the right end in the border is a blue urn on a purple table out of which grows a plant with blue, green, and purple flowers all growing in the branches. To the left of it there is a small teapot holding three bunches of grapes in red, yellow and blue. Next to that is a blue tree branch with two beribboned orbs. Up the left border is a blue bird. To the right of it there is a multicolored butterfly checking out the action. Going up you’ll see an urn filled with grapes and flowers. Then at the left hand corner coming from the border is a huge floral motif of dozens of flowers and a long tailed multicolored bird. Out of that tree hanging by a wire is a candelabra with three burning candles. The right corner is decorated with three orbs dangling from branches covered in foliage and flowers. This rug is complex and full of beautifully drawn design! It is full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $125.00.
