Description
This circa 1930 Sarouk Persian Oriental Rug measures 12’6” X 18’2”. It has an overall floral design on a cream colored ground. It has a beautifully drawn field. The flowers and the vines are so well drawn that you feel like you could bend down and pick them up. It has a very 3-D look. The main border is flower and vine motif on a medium blue ground. There are three pairs of reciprocal minor borders. The two smaller ones are miniatures of the main border except on a very light tan ground. The four smaller ones are very small blossoms in mainly blue on a red ground. It is very attractively done. This rug was bought out of storage and hasn’t been on a floor in over 30 years. It is essentially perfect with full lush pile! It has complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $250.00.
