This 4th quarter 20th century Persian Heriz Oriental Rug measures 9’ x 12’. It has an ivory background containing a huge star shaped medallion in tomato red with an overall floral design in ivory, blue and teal centered with a square star in navy blue with a giant red flower in the center of it. The ivory field contains floral motifs in three shades of blue, rust and touches of tobacco. The corners are done in a very pale pink with a floral motif in tobacco, rust and light green. The major border has a floral design in tobacco, teal and ivory with a connecting design all on a navy blue ground. The major border is encompassed with reciprocal minor borders on a tobacco ground with a meandering vine motif. The ends and sides are complete. The rug is full pile.
