Description
This circa 1925 Art Deco Chinese rug measures 4’0” X 7’8”. It has a medium tan field with a pagoda under a tree in a rockery with a bird in the lower left corner. The bottom right has steps leading up to a pagoda with a tree and a bird. The upper left corner has a flower spray. The center medallion consists of a potted plant sitting atop a four legged stool flanked by two urns containing foliage. Each urn is circled by a bird. One bird is blue and one is brown and each bird carries a flower in its beak. The major border is a color which is a shade darker than that of the field. There is some slight moth damage in the lower left of the border and a small repair in the left side of the field one third of the way up. Other than that the rug has full pile. The ends are complete. One side has had the edges rewound. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $75.00
