This circa 1925Art Deco Chinese Oriental rug measures 3’2” X 5’0”. It has a floral motif with birds and butterflies which are very nicely drawn. The bird in the lower left of the field is flying into the border with a purple necklace in its beak. There is a sprig of flowers in the lower right corner going up the field to the right corner. There is a green, grey, blue, terra cotta urn on a small table containing a floral display. The upper left corner contains a butterfly with silver, green, gray and lavender wings. All is enclosed with a two inch wide solid border in blue. The major border is in gray and is where all the action is spilling onto. The field color is an interesting well saturated shade of rose. This rug is essentially in perfect condition. It is full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $50.00.
