This late 19th century Shirvan measures 4’6” X 7’0”. I do not know the name of this motif. It is very rare and I have only seen it a couple of other times. The only description I can think of is an overall mélange of geometric symbols all on a dark blue field surrounded by nine small borders and one main border. There is a trefoil border in blue and red. A Kufic border in ivory and blue on a red ground. The outside border is Chichi stars and bars on a medium blue ground. The rug has medium overall low pile consistent with age. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $75.00.
