This circa 1890 antique Shirvan Oriental rug measures 4’6” X 7’0”. It has a paisley motif in a couple of colors of red, some blue and white on a dark blue ground with an apricot minor border. The major border has a serrated leaf design. Each leaf is separated by an octagonal design in different colors such as apricot, blue and tobacco. The rug has three outer borders. One is meandering loop on a blue ground. One is paisleys on a red ground. One border has flowers on a blue ground. The rug has wear consistent with its age. The ends and sides are complete. This rug has a sleeve sewn on the back of one end for hanging. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $75.00.
