This circa 1890 Peking Chinese rug measures 3’7” X 5’10”. There are a couple of flying phoenix birds and a few clouds floating around an open sky. It has one bat for good luck! There is a light brown rock formation coming up from the bottom at the center with bamboo shoots growing from it. On the right side of the rug there is a pagoda with a blue roof and pale pink columns. A humpback bridge spans a water course. A very big blue tree winds up the rockery into the sky upon which one of the phoenix birds is perched. This rug is in perfect full pile condition except for the brown of the rockery which has some dye erosion which attests to the age of this rug. It has complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $75.00.
