This 4th quarter 19th century Laver Kerman Oriental Rug measures 4’9” X 7’9”. It has a beautiful classic prayer design on an ecru ground with a tree of life motif growing from a green hill that’s a little bit darker than the green of the spandrels. The entire rug has a very complicated floral design in too many colors to count. The major border is magenta with a crowded floral motif enclosed by reciprocal floral borders on a medium blue ground. Both ends of the rug are missing approximately 2-3 rows of knots which have been overcast. The rug is full pile. It is a very lovely piece of floor art. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $95.00.
