Description
This circa 1920 handmade all wool Kerman antique Oriental carpet measures 7’9” X 10’0”. This to me is a unique motif. There are 4 floral medallions in tobacco, two shades of green and three shades of blue surrounding a bouquet of flowers all on an ivory ground completely covered in floral motif. In the old days, this type of Kerman was known as a ‘Crowded Kerman’ for obvious reasons. The major border is a deep red with a floral motif. There are two sets of reciprocal borders. The interior one is a pale blue green. The larger reciprocal border has a floral motif on a tobacco colored ground. For those of you who care the ends have never even been opened up to expose the fringe. The fringe at each end has been added and can be removed if you like. The rug is full pile. The ends and side are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $125.00.
