Description
This circa 1900 Art Nouveau Rug measures 3’2” X 5’8”. It is a handmade Chinese Oriental Rug. It has a light copper colored ground with a swirling truly Art Nouveau style consisting of a triangle derived image at both ends swirling towards the center of the rug all in a coal black color. Enjoining these designs are images in two shades of copper. One is lighter and one is darker than the color of the field. These dancing curvilinear designs are all surrounded by a 6” wide coal black border. Art Nouveau rugs from this time period are very rare. This rug is in full pile mint condition. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $75.00.
