Description
This circa 1925 Art Deco Chinese handmade wool Oriental Rug measures 8’8” x 11’5”. It has a beautiful midnight blue field with a super Art Deco design. There is a big bouquet of flowers in the middle bottom border. Going up the side of the field is a yellow stand holding a purple vase with flowers running up into the center of the rug. In the dead middle of the rug is a three legged stand holding an urn with smoke wafting up in gold, purple, red and blue and at the top of the smoke are two urns. On is empty and the other is filled with blue flowers. The flower one has a blue goldfish with yellow eyes. Various other images have found a home in the field of this rug including a multicolored butterfly and vines and flowers edging into the field from the red and gold borders. This rug is beautifully drawn. I personally love this rug and may put it down in my living room! It is essentially mint condition. It has full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $150.00.
