Description
This first half 20th century Afghan Baluch Prayer Rug measures 2’10” X 4’8”. The field motif is a light color copper with a prayer design with a square arch covered in leaves in red and two shades of blue. The same motif as the field and the same color occupy the East and West side of the prayer niche. The motif is surrounded by a pair of reciprocal borders. The inner pair has a lightening design on a red ground. The next border out consists of signs in purple, red and blue on a dark brown to black ground. The rug is full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $50.
