This circa 1940 Heriz handmade Persian rug measures 8’6” X 10’10”. It has a large eight pointed star shaped medallion in blue with a white center on a red ground with ivory corners. The rd ground has an overall motif with serrated leafs, tulips and scorpion designs. The major border is a cross between a turtle border and large blossoms in red, ivory, and two shades of blue on a navy blue ground which is surrounded by a reciprocal border with small flowers on a tobacco colored ground. This rug is essentially in perfect full pile condition with complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $125.00.
