This circa 1920 Art Deco Chinese Antique Oriental Rug measures 8’11” x 11’8”. To begin with…this is one of the most beautifully designed Decos I have ever seen! It has a dark emerald green border containing two rockeries and a water feature out of which are growing massive flower motifs and a beautiful rendition of a flowering tree. The corners have beautiful floral renditions. The top one contains a tree with two birds. All of these floral motifs begin in the dark emerald green border growing and flowing into the beautiful yellow gold field. The rug is drawn using incredible Deco colors including three or four shades of blue, lilac, dark purple, two shades of brown, three or four shades of green and a little bit of red. The bottom of the rug contains a bird diving into the water. In the bottom right corner of the rug is another bird sitting on a rock looking at the diving bird. The rug is in just made condition although it is almost 100 years old! It is full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $150.
