Description

This circa 1930 Heriz Persian Oriental carpet measures 8’10” X 12’2”. It has a tomato red field with a center medallion in the form of an eight pointed star in indigo with a smaller eight pointed star inside in terra cotta looking very much like an exploding firework on the 4th of July! The corners are worked in ivory. The field motif is a geometric floral design. The major border has flower blossoms in cartouches in tobacco, terra cotta, blue and pale green on an indigo ground. The rug has two sets of reciprocal borders with a floral design. One set is on a tobacco ground and one is on a red ground. The rug is in essentially perfect condition. The ends and sides are intact. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $150.
