This circa 1920 antique Sarouk Persian carpet measures 4’2” X 6’3” (128 x 192 cm). It has an overall floral design consisting of bunches of foliage growing from urns seated on tables coming from each end to the middle all on a red to maroon ground. The border has large flower blossoms in red, ivory, blue, and tobacco on a navy ground encompassed with reciprocal borders of meandering vines and flowers on a tobacco ground. This rug is full pile.
