Description
This circa 1920 Laver Kerman antique Persian rug measures 5’9” X 12’0” (179 x 370 cm). It is an odd Kallegh size. It has a very beautifully drawn floral motif on an ivory background. The center has a pulled medallion with a dark ruby red ground and ivory and blue flowers. The ivory ground field is completely covered in bouquets and wreathes of flowers in reds, blues, pinks, tobacco and pale green. A veritable riot of floral color! Surrounding the field and into the corners is a sky blue border containing dark blue leafs. The major border is composed of cartouches containing floral designs on a navy ground. There are two small reciprocal floral borders. This rug is in mint condition. It is full pile with complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go.
