Description
This circa 1930 Fetti Art Deco Chinese Oriental Rug measures 14’8” X 18’5” (451 X 564 cm). It is a wonderful palace sized Chinese carpet. It has a beautiful floral motif medallion in shades of pink and very light blue green with touches of peach. Replications of sections of this medallion come in from the edges of the rug and ends of the rug approximately a foot into the field. The field is dark blue completely covered in a cloud motif in two different shades of blue. The two lighter shades of blue on the dark blue ground give the optical illusion of actually floating. The 17 inch wide border is composed of a combination of the medallion motif and the clouds of the field in the aforementioned colors. The entire rug is encompassed with a solid dark blue border which is 10 inches wide. This rug is in absolutely pristine condition. It is full pile with complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $250.
