This circa 1920 Sarouk Persian Oriental Rug measures 8’3” X 11’0” (253 x 335 cm). It has an all over floral design on a medium red ground. Each quadrant of the rug is done in a very interesting floral motif of a large handful of blossom with half a wreath at the bottom coming into the center of the rug. It has a large pulled center medallion. There is a navy blue major border with a large floral motif encompassed by two sets of reciprocal minor borders one of which is on an ivory ground and the other on a medium blue ground. Both have flower and meandering vine motif. The rug has generally good pile with a few small low areas which is reflected in the price. The rug is clean and ready to go.
