Description
This circa 1925 Art Deco Chinese rug measures 8’8” X 11’6” (268 x 353 cm). It as a red field with corners worked in Chinese fretwork. It has a beautifully drawn flowering tree in an urn on a three legged table with purple, lavender, gold and silver flowers with a brown trunk and branches. The top of the field coming down past the middle of the rug has hanging lamps with tassels strung from ropes and hanging over the fretwork. The tassels are yellow and green, ivory and mauve and two colors of purple. There are large bunches of grapes hanging from vines in purple, yellow, gold and lavender. This rug is in mint condition. It has full lush pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $150.
