This circa 1910 Fereghan Sarouk Persian Oriental Rug measures 4’0” X 6’7” ( 121 x 204 cm). This is a lovely Fereghan Sarouk with an overall design consisting of tulips and other flowers I couldn’t even begin to name. It has a pale pale rose background. The corners are worked in pale red with floral design. The design is so confusing that I really can’t describe it. One thing I am going to describe is the border. The person I bought it from had owned it for 20 years and never saw this. I am very tempted to let you find it yourself. But I am going to break down and tell you what it is. Those long squiggly lines in the border that appear at first glance to be tree branches are actually snakes. If you look closely enough you will see their mouths and some are actually eating something. This rug is in mint condition. It is full pile. The ends and sides are complete. The rug is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $75.00.
