This circa 1880 Kazak measures 4’3” X 6’4” (131 x 195 cm). It has a tomato red field with a lovely double niche prayer motif in dark blue containing two tomato red connected medallions. One medallion contains a light blue Memling gul and the other contains a dark blue Memling gul. The field has twelve, 8 pointed stars designs. Ten at the top of the rug and two at the bottom. The major border is composed of stars and bars motif ‘ala’ Chichi. Some of the stars are 6 pointed and some are 8. The minor borders are made up of reciprocal triangle motifs. The rug is essentially full pile. It has complete sides and ends. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $95.
