This circa 1890 Peking Chinese rug measures 5’6” x 5’1” (170 x 155 cm). It has a navy blue ground containing a beautifully drawn montage of four different tables containing vases with floral arrangements in peach, ivory, three shades of blue and pale camel hair encompassed by an inner border with an acorn design in ivory, followed with a light blue border in the Greek key motif. The major border contains a dozen cartouches with Buddhist symbols which are separated by different floral designs. This rug is 100% full pile. It is missing 1 ½ inches of the solid outer border ( the blue apron that surrounds the entire rug) at the lower end. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $75.
