This 4th quarter 19th century antique Kashan Persian Oriental carpet measures 8 foot 11 inch by 13 foot 0 inches. It has a medium blue ground with an empty floral design scattered throughout the field in various shades of red and ivory all encompassed with a wide cherry red major border with a floral motif. It has two minor borders on a dark blue ground with a meandering flower and vine design. The inner and outer minor borders have a dark red ground with a meandering flower design. The rug has very soft Manchester like wool and is very finely woven with 380 knots per square inch. The rug is 98% full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $150.
