Description
This circa 1920 Sarouk antique Persian Oriental Rug measures 11’10” X 15’0” ( 365 x 507 cm). It has a maroon background with an overall floral design of bouquets, flowers in vases, and floral wreaths. It has a center medallion. All is encompassed with a major border of bouquets and flowering vines in the same colors as seen in the field only on a blue ground. This rug is 99.9% full pile. It is low in the field at the bottom end an area of 5” inches wide and about half the width of the field. This is not noticeable unless one is down on one’s hands and knees and looking for it. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $150.
