Description
This last quarter 19th-century Kuba measures 3’8” X 5’8”. It has a rust to terra-cotta colored field with hexagonal repeated compartments ala Marasali Shirvan containing blue flower heads. The inner border is a diamond design on an ivory ground. This is followed by a reciprocating meandering S border design in blue on a black ground which is very nicely oxidized, separated by a striped typical Kuba border. This rug is essentially perfect. The buyer pays the shipping of $75.
