This circa 1930 Chinese Tien Sing weave Peking motif rug measures 10’0″ x 13’7”. It has a deep royal blue background with urns filled with floral sprays, bowls of fruit. It has cubical planters and planters on three-legged stools. It has a large center medallion consisting of a wreath of flowers and bats (for good luck!) encircling a tree with two hanging lamps and gigantic flowers. All is encompassed with a minor border of Greek key motif on a gold ground. The second minor border has a meandering flower design on a blue ground. The major outer border has meandering flowers in two shades of green, two shades of blue, purple, and puce on a gold ground. This rug is in full pile perfect condition.
