Description
This circa 1910 Art Deco Chinese rug measures 5’2” x 7’10”. The rug has a spread peacock tail motif at either end, as if to embrace the café au lait center. It is enclosed with a border of intertwined flowers and vines. An interesting side light… when I was in Shanghai I went to Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s house, one of the founders of the Chinese Republic, and this rug is a twin to what is in his house. The rug is in perfect condition. It is full pile. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping of $95.
