This circa 1930 Art Deco rug measures 6’0” x 8’9”. It has a medium camel colored field with five wreaths in blue and rust containing a shield design in teal, camel, rust and blue. There is one in each corner and one in the center all linked by a very Deco chain motif in rust, blue and green. The border is very interesting with standing urns in rust, yellow and green connected with a meandering vine and leaf motif. The corners are worked with a stylized Maltese cross in camel, blue and rust with a bird in the center like a crest. The rug was probably made for European nobility because of the crest motif and the very angular Art Deco design. The rug is full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is essentially in perfect condition. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping and insurance of $95.
