This circa 1940 Mongolian Chinese Oriental handwoven rug measures 3’5” X 5’10”. It is woven in three colors of blue and ivory. The center medallion consists of a ‘Shou’ symbol for good luck surrounded by a wreath of flowers. The top and bottom of the field have large roses. There are four butterflies in the field. The corners are done in a floral motif. The first minor border has a pearl motif. The second border has a light blue Greek key on a darker blue ground. The major border is in dark and light blue. The rug is full pile with complete ends and sides. The rug is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $50.
