Antique Turkish Rugs

Handmade antique Turkish rugs or Anatolian rugs are some of the most beautiful ever woven. Hand woven in wool sometimes with silk or metal, the designs vary by region and use. Oushak rugs are generally room size and woven in pale colors interior designers prefer today. Kilims are flat woven rugs with a bold tribal design and reasonably priced. We have some very old interesting Sivas, and Kayseri rugs that are museum quality in our collection. To us the most interesting are the Melas rugs for their asymmetric prayer designs and the most ancient in our gallery are the Ghiordes Turkish rugs that date back 200 years. Beautiful Angora wools are found in the Angora Kula or Oushak rugs . The finest knots per inch count of all rugs can be found in our Hereke silk rugs.
