This circa 1900 Peking Chinese Oriental Rug runner measures 2’4” x 26’6” (73 x 809 cm). This super long runner has a very interesting design on a cream colored ground. The design consists of these elements: a small tile roofed fort with crenellated walls, a grouping of four little mountains, a two-story fort, and a section of a medieval walled city in a circle. This design is repeated three times up the rug and is all enclosed with a Greek key border in two colors of blue. The rug is in absolutely perfect condition and was custom-made as evidenced by one end which was woven on the bias probably to accommodate the opening of the door. The ends and sides are complete. The rug is in full pile mint condition. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $200.
*The rug is folded over to fit in the photo frame but it is complete.
