#7088 Khotan
This mid 19th century antique Khotan measures 4’9’ x 6’10”. It has a sky blue center medallion with a pomegranate motif in a lovely aubergine color on a yellow ground. The three borders are a small minor border with a pearl motif, followed by a meander in yellow and brown on an aubergine ground. The outer border seems to be a combination wave border and Yun-Tsai-T’ou border. The rug appears to be early to mid 19th century. The condition is overall worn as photographed. There is border erosion at one end. The buyer pays the shipping and insurance of 65.00.
