#6703 Khotan This fantastic Khotan from 1910-1920 measures 58 X 86. It has four urns containing different types of foliage including peonies, chrysanthemums and lotus. The urns are in pink, ivory, pale lavender, and orange all on a lovely bittersweet ground. It has a very interesting archaic border with a modified tree of life with a chrysanthemum bloom at the bottom. The rug has a beautiful aubergine that is very similar to the silk colors in Turkoman rugs especially Tekke and wherever this color is used it has oxidized to the foundation thus verifying the age of this carpet and giving it a very 3-D effect. Otherwise this rug is full pile and essentially perfect. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping and insurance of 50.00.
